Why Choose Cashmere?

Cashmere comes from goats that live in cold temperatures, which means they develop a very thick and well-insulating coat. This is used to create the shawls you see above.

Cashmere is hypoallergenic (no itching), so it makes a great alternative to wool, and it's also incredibly soft.

When comparing cashmere to merino, cashmere is by far the softest and feels nicer to wear. That's because for cashmere fibre to legally qualify as being cashmere, it must be 19 microns or less in diameter, and this small size makes it feel soft.

Washing Instructions

Cashmere is always best washed by hand, because it minimises strain on the fibres. But for those who must machine wash, use a side-mounted machine, put the garment into a protective mesh bag, and wash it on a delicate cycle with cashmere-friendly detergent.
